USAC Rookie Orientation Program at Indy May 4-6

The United States Auto Club (USAC) conducts its 16th "Rookie Orientation Program" with a 3-day test session May 4-6. The program offers "first timers" at the high speed 2.5 mile speedway a chance to find out just "what it's like out there." Former participants include 1995 Indy 500 winner, Jacques Villenueve, plus Danny Sullivan, Bobby Rahal, Arie Luyendyk, and Al Unser,Jr. It is a three day on-track school designed to help rookies obtain their USAC competition license making them eligible to attempt to qualify for the famed 500 mile race. The rookie orientation program will see its biggest class next May 4 due to the IRL/CART battle.
