Israel Imports Mazda Cars

United Press International reported that imports of Mazda cars into Israel during the first two months of this year increased 90% as compared the same period of last year, while total imports of private cars was up only 11%.

In January and February dealers in Israel imported 2,875 Mazdas, 1,965 Fiats, 1,926 Mitsubishi cars, 1,672 cars built by Hyundai, and 1,451 built by Daewoo.

Last year Japanese car sales amounted to 26 percent of total auto sales in Israel. In January and February of this year that ratio has risen to 40 percent.
