Toyota Pledges $600,000 to Auto Hall of Fame

03/21/96

United Press International reported that the Automotive Hall of Fame received their second largest donation on Wednesday when they announced a pledge of $600,000 from Toyota. The sizeable donation brings the hall of fame about halfway to their goal of $8 million.

The Automotive Hall of Fame is an international organization that will honor the men and women of the automotive industry, preserve the history of individual contributions, and initiate educational programs.

The Hall of Fame currently resides on Midland Michigan's Northwood University campus, with plans to start building a new facility in Dearborn, Michigan, next to the Henry Ford Museum & Greenfield Village. The Hall of Fame plans their public opening for early 1997.
