Honda and Isuzu Make Deal in Thailand

NikkeiNet reports that Honda and Isuzu have agreed to supply eachother with 5,000 vehicles annually. The deal will begin this summer. Honda will supply Isuzu with passenger cars to meet the requests of Isuzu dealers, while Isuzu will supply Honda with pick-ups to meet growing local demand in Thailand. The Hondas will be 1,600cc sedans based on the Integra with a Thai produced Civic engine, and the Isuzus will be 2,500cc 1 ton pickups which are also locally produced in Thailand. Both Honda and Isuzu will sell the vehicles supplied to them under their own brands.
