Up To 8% Drop in Japanese Taurus Price

02/28/96

Ford Motor Co. has announced that they will price the new Taurus sedans and wagons that they produce for the Japanese market any where from five and a half to eight percent lower than they had originally decided. The company hopes to sell 1,500 of the new cars each month, or 1,800 cars annually. The new series, which was introduced to American markets in September of 1995, has been retooled for the Japanese market: the car is right hand drive and the control panel has been changed.
