Chrysler Prez To The Rescue

Ex-Marine fighter jock, auto racing enthusiast and not incidentaly President of Chrysler Corp., Bob Lutz helped an in-trouble student pilot out of a jam yesterday.

Lutz was flying his personal jet when he heard a radio distress message from student pilot Bob Trybulec,Rostti, Michigan stating his small plane was losing power and he had no place to land. Air controllers told Trybulec to land at a nearby grass airstrip. The neophyte airman balked saying he's never landed on grass and he was getting uptight. Lutz popped in and told Trybulec he could have clearance to land at the nearby paved Chrysler proving grounds...which the student did.

Lutz later said..."Been there, done that"
