New Honda Station Wagon in Japan

02/22/96

The Associated Press reported that Honda will produce a new small-sized station wagon for the Japanese market. The new car will be called the Orthia, and it is meant to boost Honda's recreational vehicle line. In Japan multi-purpose vehicles are lumped into the RV class alongside sport utility vehicles. The new Orthia is based on the Civic and will go on sale on March 1. Honda expects to sell 3,000 of the cars a month.
