Sales of Imports in Japan Rise

The Associated Press reported that sales of import vehicles in Japan rose 17.6% in January as compared to January 1995. The Japan Automobile Importers Association announced that 23,235 units were imported during January 1996. Sales of U.S. made passenger cars was up 38.4% to 8,207 units.
