GM Claims Record Earnings

The Associated Press reported that GM announced record earnings for
its fourth quarter last year. GM said it earned $1.9 billion in 1995's
final quarter, an 18.7% rise in profits over 1994's 4th quarter. GM's
total profits for 1995 were $6.9 billion.
