This version of the 2021 Lexus ES 350 includes both the dynamics of the F SPORT system and the styling of the Black Line Special Edition. It surprises none of the numerous ES owners and fans that the additions to this tried and true midsize sedan follow the Lexus equation of design, power, comfort, and technology.

The aggressive design adds an exterior paint modestly labelled Ultrasonic Blue Mica. That evoked many comments of "Nice color" from folks. The Jet black and dark trim mesh grille, the dual-spoke 19” split-five-spoke alloy rims, a rear spoiler, and aluminum pedals add to the flavor.

The interior color scheme I would label Pure Orca - very black blacks and very white whites. By using premium materials and keeping the design uncluttered, a refined quality emerges as well as the feeling of spaciousness. The bolstered seats are quite comfortable, although it is a good idea to pay attention during a test drive to determine whether the bolsters are wide enough to be comfortable on long trips.

Power is supplied by a 3.5-liter fuel injected V6 creating 302 horsepower and 267 pound-feet of torque. An 8-speed transmission with a torque converter and a multi-plate lock up clutch performed seamlessly both in town and on the freeway. The Adaptive Variable Suspension constantly makes adjustments which keeps the ride smooth in the straights and well gripped in the curves. The F Sport includes the Lexus Safety Sense which features automatic emergency braking, pedestrian alerts, and advanced cruise control. The 10.2” color Heads-up Display can give you very useful info without having to glance down or away from the road.

Drive modes are Normal, Custom, Eco, Sport S, and Sport S+ and are dialed in with a small rotary dial conveniently placed above the power tilt-and-telescopic steering wheel.

When you change drive modes, your dash info gauge also changes giving you the the useful data for that style of driving. In whatever mode you choose, you will enjoy a quiet, smooth, and glorious ride.
