Grand Opening of National Museum of American History's New Wing

Exhibits, Music, Hands-On Activities, Performances

WHAT:  

The Smithsonian's National Museum of American History will reopen its newly transformed wing of the museum's second floor to the public with a ribbon cutting, music and various activities.

WHEN:     

Wednesday, June 28
10 a.m.–3 p.m.

The museum will open The Nation We Build Together June 28. The four exhibitions on the second floor explore the founding principles of the country and ask, "What kind of a nation do we want to be?"

Photo opportunities include visitors wearing Statue of Liberty crowns; a LEGO make & take; a ribbon-cutting ceremony; jazz, blues and conjunto performances and the debut of programs in Unity Square.
