Steve McDonald of St. Albert wins 2017 Toyota Tacoma in Select Sweepstakes

Saving $1,100 a year in premiums was just the start

EDMONTON, March 8, 2017 /CNW/ - Some premonitions really do come true. Steve McDonald, a realtor with RE/MAX North Edmonton, believed he was going to be a winner in the Select Sweepstakes. Several times a day, he'd gaze at the pamphlet he got from his broker publicizing a draw in April for a new vehicle. He even told his wife, "We're going to win this car." When he got the call from his group insurance broker, MBS Insurance Brokers, telling him that he had in fact won, "I felt I had an out of body experience right on the spot. I had no idea there was a draw before April so I was that much more surprised," he said.

Today, at 11 a.m. at Mayfield Toyota in Edmonton, McDonald was presented with the keys to a shiny new 2017 Toyota Tacoma. As a member of the Realtors Association of Edmonton, he was eligible for group car and home insurance from Economical Select and had been entered into the sweepstakes simply for getting a quote.
