Courses developed to coach performance-oriented drivers to maximize driving pleasure

MISSISSAUGA, ON, Feb. 21, 2017 /CNW/ - Porsche Cars Canada, Ltd. has revealed that Porsche Sport Driving School (PSDS) programs will be offered within Canada for the first time this year. What started more than 40 years ago at the Hockenheimring race track in Germany accompanied by the sounds of boxer engines is a program that was developed with the performance-oriented driver in mind. In an effort to coach individuals with the skills needed to drive Porsche vehicles to their fullest potential through an enjoyable learning process. The program has translated into a worldwide network of PSDS programs, the latest taking place in Canada, to teach precise control in a variety of conditions.

"Porsche Sport Driving School is yet another Porsche Driving Experience that we are excited to be able to offer to our customers and fans within Canada and joins the likes of our popular Camp4 Canada and Performance Tour events," said Alexander Pollich, President & CEO, Porsche Cars Canada, Ltd. "To be able to provide enthusiastic drivers a platform where they can finely hone their driving skills, all while putting a selection of our sports car offerings through their paces, will invigorate Porsche passion as well as provide a foundation for attendees to continue the program right up to a full racing licence."

The PSDS program has one focus: to help you safely achieve individual goals, in everyday driving and on the racetrack. Opportunities to increase driving safety while expanding driving skill are offered through varying degrees of the course. Precision, Performance, Master, Master RS, and Master RSR PSDS programs can lead individuals to their desired level of expertise.

Beginning in May, the first courses will take place at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park, located in Bowmanville, ON. The two-day training program costs $2,495 per person with limited spots per wave to ensure accurate training, and seat time, to all participants.
