Virtually tour Hyundai vehicles at Canadian International Auto Show

MARKHAM, ON, Feb. 21, 2017 /CNW/ - For anyone that can't make it to the 2017 Canadian International Auto Show in Toronto before it closes February 26, Hyundai Auto Canada Corp. is offering a tour of the Hyundai display from anywhere, on any device. The interactive, virtual view of the booth and the Hyundai vehicles on display is a first for the automaker and will remain accessible online until March 6.

"The auto show in Toronto is a major event in the automotive industry's annual calendar. We wanted to take Hyundai's largest and most significant display and put it online so even more people can have the opportunity to experience it," says Lawrence Hamilton, Director of Marketing with Hyundai Auto Canada. "With this virtual tour, customers can check-out the newest Hyundai vehicles, including the world premiere of the All-new 2018 Accent subcompact and the Canadian premiere of the 2018 Elantra GT 5-door, online now and after the auto show ends."

Further, thanks to the digital environment, the company was also able to include a virtual tour of the Hyundai RN30 Concept car that made its North American premiere at the Montreal International Auto Show (January 20-29). The show in Montreal was the only Canadian stop for the RN30, so the virtual environment is key to ensuring more people have the opportunity to see it.

Hyundai Auto Canada worked with Virtuo360, a Google Street View trusted agency, and specialist in 360-degree photography to deliver the online experience. With extensive photographs of both the booth and Hyundai vehicles, Virtuo360 assembled the virtual tour in its custom software.

"We continue to push the boundaries of this technology by creating a specialized tour that allows users to interact with vehicles from the Hyundai lineup directly from the auto show floor," says Jeffrey Han, Virtuo360 President. "Through the tour, the viewer is able to select individual vehicles to view and the software is sophisticated enough to allow them to examine the interior or exterior anywhere on the Hyundai booth."
