MotoAmerica was launched nationally in 2015. The series is sanctioned by the American Motorcyclist Association (AMA) and the Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme (FIM). It features five classes of road racing - Superbike, Superstock 1000, Supersport, Superstock 600 and the spec-class KTM RC 390 Cup. The series has announced an expanded schedule for the 2017 MotoAmerica AMA/FIM North American Road Race Championship - with 10 rounds and two new venues on the provisional calendar.
