MONTREAL, Jan. 19, 2017 /CNW Telbec/ - FLO, the most comprehensive and reliable charging ecosystem in Canada, is proud to partner with Nissan Canada, one of the top electric vehicle builder in the world, in order to encourage and ease EV adoption throughout the country.

Through this association, the new FLO Home charging station will become the recommended residential charging station by Nissan Canada for owners of its popular fully electric vehicle, the Nissan LEAF.

Nissan will offer a $500 discount on the FLO Home charging station to every buyers of a new Nissan LEAF vehicle from a participating Nissan dealership between January 20 and March 31, 2017.

FLO will also offer them a free access card to its charging network, the largest in Canada, which provides EV drivers with more than 3,000 charging stations from coast to coast.

"With this partnership, we want to simplify the decision of buying an electric car by fulfilling EV drivers charging needs at home and on the road, straight from the dealership," says Louis Tremblay, president and chief executive officer of FLO.

The FLO Home charging station, available since December 2016, will be presented to the public at the Nissan Canada kiosk during the Montreal Auto Show, from January 20 to 29, at the Palais des congrès de Montréal.

"Nissan Canada is pleased to partner with FLO to support the development of electric motoring in Quebec," said François Lefèvre, chief marketing manager, electric vehicles, Nissan Canada Inc. "Since the launch of the Nissan LEAF in 2011, Nissan Canada has demonstrated its commitment to supporting electric mobility in the province of Quebec through its engagement in several projects, notably, the development of public charging infrastructure. We wish to continue our involvement in this regard, and support our LEAF-certified dealerships and also encourage future Nissan LEAF owners in their acquisition of an electric vehicle."
