EVgo Announces Completion of Electric Vehicle Charging Corridor between Fort Collins and Fountain, Colorado

Colorado Network Includes 18 Charging Stations, With More to Come

Boulder, CO - Following National Drive Electric Week, EVgo today announced the completion of a segment of their Colorado fast-charging network, currently one of the longest continuous-corridors in the country. With the addition of five new stations in the Colorado Springs area, EVgo's network now connects the Front Range from Fort Collins to Fountain, featuring 18 50kW fast-charging stations in convenient and high-traffic locations.

"More and more drivers are finding that electric vehicles are not only better for the environment, but fun to drive and better for their wallets," said Terry O'Day, EVgo Vice President. "Our extensive network serving thousands of drivers in Colorado has brought range confidence to the Front Range."

Today's news comes on the heels of EVgo's recent announcement of free charging for National Drive Electric Week<http://bit.ly/2cCFtjM>. Running from September 10th to the 18th, drivers with a valid EVgo charging card can charge for free at any of EVgo's charging locations in over 55 metro markets across the country. At over 200 National Drive Electric events taking place across the country, drivers are celebrating freedom from gasoline, and EVgo's open public EV infrastructure fuels the celebration.

Since launching as an independent company with the support of Vision Ridge Partners in June,<http://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/vision-ridge-partners-closes-on-acquisition-of-evgo-nations-leading-electric-vehicle-fast-charging-network-300287007.html?tc=eml_cleartime> EVgo has continued to build and strengthen the partnerships that have brought customers faster charging speeds and more charging locations. Now operating over 750 fast chargers in over 55 markets throughout the country, EVgo continues to improve its driver-centric customer service, diminishing concerns of range anxiety and encouraging the adoption of clean technology. And in just the last year alone, EVgo's public high-speed charging network delivered more than 21 million electric vehicle miles, saving nearly 900,000 gallons of gas and offsetting nearly 10 million pounds of carbon dioxide.

"As the nation's leading public fast charging network, EVgo continues to demonstrate its unique capacity for building transportation infrastructure of the future," said Reuben Munger, Managing Director of Boulder-based Vision Ridge Partners. "That's why Vision Ridge invested in EVgo - we're confident that this leading network can grow even further, providing reliable, affordable, and convenient fast charging to reshape the way people travel."

Colorado has been a leading voice for clean transportation, establishing Charge Ahead Colorado<http://www.chargeaheadcolorado.com/>, a funding opportunity that encourages development of electric charging stations across the state. Backed by the Colorado Energy Office, the state extended their support for EV drivers last May, making it even easier for Coloradans to receive their state and federal incentives of $12,500 on new electric vehicle purchases. With this additional support, Colorado has seen a tremendous increase in the number of registered electric vehicles, growing over 300-fold since 2011.

"It's about connecting people with opportunities," said Wes Maurer, Transportation Program Manager for the Colorado Energy Office. "Colorado's increasingly integrated network of charging stations is working to provide unhindered destination options for current and future electric vehicle drivers - a key state-wide objective for our office."

Moving forward, EVgo is eager to collaborate with the state and local officials in the state to develop plans for future expansion and provide even greater access to EVgo's dependable fast-chargers, which can deliver close to a full charge to nearly any fast charge-capable vehicle on the road today in less than 30 minutes.
