Philipp Popov Appointed New CEO of CloudCar

PALO ALTO, Calif., Aug. 9, 2016 -- CloudCar™ has announced the appointment of Philipp Popov as their new CEO. He assumed responsibility in February 2016 succeeding Konstantin Othmer who is stepping down and continuing as Member of the Board.

Othmer is the founder of CloudCar and raised the primary round of funding at $14M and launched the company's first product, justDrive™, a proprietary application for Jaguar Land Rover vehicles.

CloudCar™ is reimagining the Connected Car, and developing their core technology to push a new method of content delivery into the vehicles. "CloudCar™ is going beyond apps. We are building a platform of services to provide OEMs a single point of entry to access any content to their customers." says Philipp Popov, CEO of CloudCar™.

Philipp is a seasoned automotive industry expert. He was the Founder and CEO at S1NN GmbH (acquired by Harman International) and instrumental with in-car audio and connectivity, delivering a highly sophisticated infotainment and audio systems to automotive customers; Audi, Bentley, Porsche and Tesla. Prior to joining CloudCar™, Philipp also held Executive level positions in TradeBeam, Harman/Becker, and Bose.

Philipp holds degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Business Administration from the Technical University Berlin.
