UNCASVILLE, Conn.—Barrett-Jackson, The World’s Greatest Collector Car Auction®, will help raise awareness and funds for charities across the country during the inaugural Northeast Auction June 23-25, 2016, at Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, Connecticut. Among the charity cars included in the docket include Lot #3003, the prototype of the limited edition 50th Anniversary Shelby GT-H, and Lot #3005, a 2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited donated by Grammy award-winning artist Zac Brown.

“Barrett-Jackson is proud to team up with leading OEMs to sell their first-production and limited-run vehicles to support deserving charities,” said Craig Jackson, chairman and CEO of Barrett-Jackson. “It’s exciting to be trusted to sell concept and prototype vehicles, like the 50th Anniversary 2016 Shelby GT-H, which will cross our block on Friday, June 24. To date we’ve raised over $89 million for countless organizations and deserving people, and I’m proud to continue that tradition during our inaugural Northeast Auction.”

Among the most anticipated charity vehicles to cross Barrett-Jackson’s Northeast Auction block is Lot #3003, the 50th Anniversary 2016 Shelby GT-H prototype (CSM16H0001C). This prototype vehicle was suspended in the Jacob K. Javits Center during the 2016 New York Auto Show the day after the car was unveiled to automotive media. Proceeds from the sale of the prototype 50th Anniversary 2016 Shelby GT-H will be donated to the Carroll Shelby Foundation.

A charity vehicle with serious star power behind it is Lot #3005, a 2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Custom. The Jeep was donated by country music star Zac Brown, custom-designed by Brown’s wife Shelly and handcrafted by Zac Brown Customs. It has multipurpose eco-friendly Italian leather roll bar pads, custom door panel handbags and console clutches, hand-fabricated one-of-a-kind bumpers, custom-designed light packages, original airbrushed interior art components, as well as just the right touch of Swarovski crystals. Proceeds from the sale will benefit Camp Southern Ground.

“Our charity cars have become an important part of our auctions over the years,” said Steve Davis, president of Barrett-Jackson. “It’s wonderful to take home the collectible vehicle of your dreams. The countless lives that will be helped with the purchase of a charity car only sweetens the experience. It’s exciting not only for our team, but for the winning bidders to be a part of moving the needle for medical research, our veterans and youth across the country.”

Two vehicles will be donated to support U.S. veteran organizations, including Lot #3002, a 1956 Ford “Medal of Honor” Thunderbird Convertible. This Ford had a full frame-off restoration and features an airbrushed mural of valor by world-renowned artist Mickey Harris and has been signed by 22 Medal of Honor recipients. Proceeds from the sale of this Thunderbird will benefit Wounded Warriors Family Support. A 2015 Harley-Davidson Road Glide Custom Motorcycle (Lot #3001) will benefit The Wounded Warrior Project. It features a flat and gloss paint combination, including a flat DEWALT digital camouflage graphic, gloss black stripe, DEWALT Yellow pinstriping and Wounded Warrior Project logo.

NFL and Carolina Panthers all-pro tight end Greg Olsen will be on stage to auction Lot #3000, a 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Custom Convertible. It features a professionally built engine, transmission and undercarriage using aftermarket components throughout. It’s powered by a built Dart V8 427ci small-block engine using Dart aluminum heads and aftermarket components with a Tremec 5-speed manual transmission. One hundred percent of the hammer price will benefit Receptions for Research: The Greg Olsen Foundation, supporting the HEARTest Yard Program.

Benefitting the Special Olympics, also offered will be a 1966 Ford F-100 Custom Pickup (Lot #3004) that is custom painted and fully restored by Swag Custom Rides and Special Olympic athletes. Built in a Boss 302 theme and signed by Ford Racing Team member Joey Logano, this custom truck is powered by a supercharged Ford Performance Crate Coyote 302 with 750 horsepower and a high-performance crate automatic transmission. The exterior includes a fully fabricated front nose with bezels, valance and grille, while the rear sports a one-piece embossed Mustang tailgate.
