Penske Truck Leasing to Participate in 2016 SkillsUSA National Leadership and Skills Conference

READING, Pa., June 13, 2016 -- Penske Truck Leasing will participate in the 2016 SkillsUSA National Leadership and Skills Conference, providing trucks and judges for the diesel competition, as well as staffing a booth to provide students, teachers and other attendees with information about diesel career opportunities.

The conference will be held June 20 to 24 in Louisville, Kentucky. SkillsUSA is a national organization serving teachers and high school and college students who are preparing for careers in technical, skilled and service occupations. As part of the national conference, more than 6,000 students who were state champions participate in hands-on competitions in more than 100 trade, technical and leadership fields.

Penske will be providing six trucks for the competition floor and will be working with Detroit Diesel in judging the truck diagnostics portion of the diesel competition.

In addition, Penske will be an exhibitor at booth S86/S88 – just across from the diesel competition – from June 21 to 23. Penske will provide information and materials about jobs for diesel technicians and hold drawings for prizes such as a Snap-on toolbox, Apple Watches and gift cards.
