			DENSO Spark Plugs Power More NHRA Winners in Charlotte

			 

			― Five drivers riding on DENSO spark plugs reach the Winner’s Circle

			 in the April 22-24 races at zMAX Dragway in North Carolina ―

			 

			LONG BEACH, Calif. – Nearly half the victors competing in all classes raced across the finish line on DENSO sparks plugs at the recent NHRA Four-Wide Nationals in Charlotte, N.C. The April 22-24 event drew a capacity crowd to the zMAX Dragway for the fifth weekend of adrenaline-pumping action in the 2016 NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series.

			 

			DENSO spark plugs continued to work their magic for Jason Line, who blazed to glory in 6.565 seconds at 211.33 mph to win the Pro Stock final and maintain his No. 1 ranking with 583 points. The finish marks his third weekend win of the 2016 season and 40th career win overall.

			 

			Other winners powered by DENSO spark plugs were Jim Perry with a 9.907-second finish at 169.25 mph in the Super Gas; Bryan Worner with a 10.223-second finish at 127.93 mph in the Super Stock; David Rampy with a 7.283-second finish at 159.29 mph in the Competition Eliminator; and Andrew Hines with a 6.844-second finish at 195.42 mph in the Pro Stock Motorcycle.
