SAN FRANCISCO - December 16, 2015: Cargomatic is bringing the local trucking revolution to Northern California. After several months of beta testing, the company has officially launched service in the San Francisco Bay Area, including San Francisco, Oakland, San Jose and beyond.

"The San Francisco Bay Area is the heart of technological innovation, and also an enormous transportation hub, so bringing Cargomatic here was a natural fit," says Cargomatic co-founder and CEO Jonathan Kessler.

Cargomatic's web and mobile apps seamlessly connect shippers to nearby local truckers who have available freight capacity. The technology platform is transforming B2B logistics by bringing much-needed efficiency and transparency to the $82 billion dollar local U.S. trucking industry.

Cargomatic has already been embraced by hundreds of businesses in the country's two largest metropolitan regions -- Southern California and New York City -- where service was launched in January 2014 and August 2015, respectively. Now, shippers and truckers throughout Northern California can utilize Cargomatic to help decrease delivery times and increase profits.

"For same day delivery service, you simply can't beat Cargomatic," says Michael Schroeder, Warehouse Manager of PlanToys Inc., one of the world's largest manufacturers of sustainable toys. PlanToys has dispatched dozens of deliveries with Cargomatic in recent months from its Union City, CA warehouse and has reported 50% faster delivery times.

"The stores that buy our toys don't expect same-day service. But since we started using Cargomatic we are able to deliver just that," says Schroeder.

Finding capacity and trusted truckers is a constant challenge for businesses that ship goods locally. Cargomatic facilitates this process by connecting both parties through their web and mobile apps. All transactions are done digitally, eliminating the time-consuming paperwork that has been endemic in the trucking industry for decades. The environment wins too: more efficient driving routes means less fuel consumption and traffic congestion.

Cargomatic is transforming the local trucking industry and B2B logistics for both shippers and small-fleet trucking companies by giving shippers access to available truck capacity and trusted, affordable drivers in real-time. Since launching in early 2014, Venice, CA-based Cargomatic has aided the expedition of tens of thousands of deliveries throughout Southern and Northern California and the greater New York metro region.
