Large Swedish Customer Acquires Four Setra Buses

Scandinavian bus company celebrates 40th anniversary

STUTTGART/KALMA -- November 25, 2015: The Swedish company Bergkvarabuss is celebrating its 40th anniversary with the acquisition of four new Setra buses. Göran Mellström, owner of Sweden's largest private bus company, is adding one S 515 HDH and two S 431 DT models to his fleet. The Setra TopClass 500 coach is the company's new flagship and is predominantly used as a luxury conference bus for small travel groups with high comfort standards. The two double-decker buses will be used for long-distance travel throughout Europe and on journeys to the North Cape. During the formal presentation at the Setra customer centre in Neu-Ulm, Ulrich Bastert, Head of Marketing, Sales and After Sales Daimler Buses, expressed his thanks for the Scandinavian Group's loyalty to the two Daimler Buses brands over more than four decades: “I am very proud of this partnership that is based on trust in our products and in our employees.” In addition, Göran Mellström took receipt of a further S 431 DT in Neu-Ulm, which will be used in regular service by the Germany subsidiary Elite Traffic GmbH. The company based in Hamburg-Bergedorf is also a partner of the intercity bus service “Mein Fernbus Flixbus”. Bergkvarabuss currently has more than 1000 buses that are used for regular, municipal, school, international and occasional services. The company based in Kalmar is part of the Mekka Traffic AB Group with more than 30 of its own bus depots in Sweden, Denmark and Germany.
