Herman Moore to Serve as Spokesperson for Quick Lane Bowl at Ford Field in Detroit

Quick Lane has chosen Disabled American Veterans as this year’s fundraising partner

Quick Lane Bowl is expected to feature teams from the Big Ten Conference and Atlantic Coast Conference

DEARBORN, MI -- November 18, 2015: Quick Lane Tire & Auto Center announced today former Detroit Lion and legendary wide receiver Herman Moore will serve as spokesperson for the second annual Quick Lane Bowl. The game is scheduled for 5 p.m. EST Monday, Dec. 28, 2015 at Ford Field in Detroit.

Prior to Herman’s 11 seasons with the Detroit Lions, he played for the University of Virginia of the Atlantic Coast Conference, where he ranks second in career receiving yards with 2,504, and first in receiving yards in a season with 1,190, on 54 catches, set in 1990. The Quick Lane Bowl is expected to feature a match-up between schools from the Big Ten Conference and Atlantic Coast Conference.

For this year’s game, Quick Lane is partnering with Disabled American Veterans to raise awareness and funds for the organization’s purpose of empowering veterans to lead high-quality lives with respect and dignity.

“We’re already looking forward to another great college football experience at this year’s Quick Lane Bowl,” said Frederiek Toney, vice president, Ford Motor Company and president, Ford Customer Service. “We’re very proud to be working with Herman Moore to raise awareness for the bowl game, and for the tireless efforts of Disabled American Veterans to empower the men and women who have selflessly served our nation.”

“I am excited to be part of this year’s Quick Lane Bowl, and am looking forward to an exciting game next month at Ford Field,” said Moore. “I’ve had the honor to spend time and build connections with members of the military. It means a lot to me personally that Quick Lane has chosen to work with Disabled American Veterans for this event.”

Disabled American Veterans is the longest-running veterans’ advocacy and assistance group in the United States. It has never wavered from its core mission to fulfill our country’s promises to the men and women who served. Quick Lane is proud and excited to be working with Disabled American Veterans for this year’s Quick Lane Bowl.

Quick Lane Bowl tickets start at $29 and are available for purchase at Ford Field. This is the second year of a multiyear agreement for Ford’s Quick Lane Tire & Auto Center as the title sponsor of an annual college football bowl game at Ford Field.
