The ‘Go Anywhere, Do Anything’ brand is certainly going in the right direction in the sales charts, registering 196 new cars last month, compared with 74 in February 2014. It’s the 18th consecutive month of year-on-year sales growth.

The January-February cumulative figure is also excellent: up 93 per cent, from 275 cars in 2014 to 532 for the same period this year. The newly-launched Jeep Renegade performed the best in February, with 99 new vehicles registered. Jeep Cherokee accounted for 53 cars, Grand Cherokee 35 cars and the iconic Wrangler nine.

“We’ve been telling people that Jeep is back, and I’m delighted that these latest figures once again confirm our claims,” says Damien Dally, head of brand, Jeep UK. “We are more than holding our own against some tough competition and we are determined to continue doing that.

“Jeep is again where it belongs – in the forefront of our customers’ minds, and it’s good to see a growing number of people turning to Jeep for their new car. The addition of the fantastic new Renegade to the Jeep line-up can only help us to achieve our goal of a really successful year in 2015.”

Available in two- and four-wheel-drive, and with a range of powerful and economical petrol and diesel engines, the new Jeep Renegade comes in four trim levels, including the trail-rated Trailhawk version. Prices start from £16,995 OTR.
