UhaulCarShare Cruises into Clarke University

DUBUQUE, IA -- Feb. 26, 2015: UhaulCarShare and Clarke University are teaming up to bring North America's most advanced car-sharing service to Dubuque, Iowa. Clarke University added its first UhaulCarShare vehicle to its campus in November. This partnership provides the student body, faculty and staff at Clarke University, as well as residents in Dubuque, with a sustainable transportation option to travel around their community. In one cost-effective package, UhaulCarShare gives members the freedom a car provides without the financial burden.

Fitting to the University's environmental culture, UhaulCarShare is placing the 2011 gold Toyota Prius car-share on campus in the TDH parking lot across from Mary Benedict Hall. Access to the vehicle will be available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Considered an eco-friendly form of transportation, each UhaulCarShare vehicle takes up to 20 personally owned vehicles off the road, reduces parking congestion and improves air quality.

The low cost for the service, coupled with the ease for students to sign up and use the vehicle, were significant considerations when deciding to choose UhaulCarShare over other companies."

UhaulCarShare has a unique-yet-flexible rate system that allows members 18 years of age and older to enjoy all the benefits of driving without having to worry about overpaying for mileage. With no start-up application fee or annual-membership dues, drivers pay only for what they use. Vehicles can be reserved on the spot for as little as an hour or for up to three days. With guaranteed lowest pricing, the Toyota Prius can be reserved at $4.95 per hour plus mileage or $62 per day. For those who drive longer distances, UhaulCarShare offers a capped rate which includes 180 free miles.
