BERLIN and LUXEMBOURG -- January 14, 2015: First European cashless cross-channel payment solution and TOTAL conclude cooperation agreement / Customers simply scan QR code and confirm amount / Rollout in TOTAL petrol station network in Germany to be completed by summer 2015

One out of three Germans would prefer to pay by mobile phone at petrol stations, shows a recent representative survey by TNS Infratest on behalf of Yapital. Among the 40 million smartphone owners, this number increases to nearly one in two (45%), which represents 18 million potential users. TOTAL and Yapital now meet this consumer demand and will soon make it possible to pay by smartphone at the 1,100 TOTAL stations across Germany. Using the Yapital app makes payment fast, safe and simple. The rollout in TOTAL's petrol station network in Germany will be completed during the summer of 2015.

TOTAL services more than 650,000 customers in Germany each day, whether they need to fill up their tank or do some shopping, often after the supermarkets are closed. In the future, customers will be able to pay at TOTAL by smartphone. They simply scan a QR code from the payment terminal using the Yapital app (which communicates with the cash register), confirm the amount shown on the app - and thatīs it. Mobile payment with Yapital works independently of the mobile operating system or network. For convenient control of expenses, the user will find the transactions immediately listed in the Yapital app.

"The cooperation with TOTAL is extremely significant for us," comments Neil Scoble, Executive Vice President International Sales at Yapital. "Petrol stations are a daily necessity in the lives of most consumers - and a place where they would like to pay by mobile. Through our cooperation with TOTAL, we meet this wish and continue to establish ourselves as a true everywhere payment solution."

Guillaume Larroque, director of petrol stations at TOTAL Deutschland GmbH: "TOTAL provides innovative, clear and future-oriented offers for its customers. This is also shown by our multi-energy strategy. We are firmly convinced that our customers will increasingly ask for mobile services via their smartphones. This is what guides us consistently in our digital strategy."
