Hertz Wins Top Travel Awards
NAPLES, FL -- Aug. 7, 2014: The Hertz Corporation , the world's largest general use car rental brand, was recently awarded two Travel + Leisure's Social Media in Travel and Tourism (SMITTY) Awards.
Recognized for excellence in social media and innovations, Hertz received the award for Best Use of Foursquare after the company encouraged its customers to use the social platform by offering discounts to those who checked in at select Hertz airport locations. Additionally, Hertz won the award for Best Overall Use of Social Media among car rental companies for its increasingly engaging Twitter and Facebook platforms.
