Hyundai Wins Franchised Dealership, New Dealership, and Customer Care Prizes at Motor Trade Awards

AUTO CENTRAL, UK -- July 10, 2014: Judges commend winning Hyundai dealers for meeting “the highest possible standards” Achievement underlines commitment to delivering outstanding customer satisfaction High Wycombe, 10 July 2014 – Hyundai has excelled at the Motor Trader industry Awards 2014, with its dealers recognised in three categories - Franchised Dealership of the Year (Richmond Hyundai Portsmouth), New Dealership of the Year (Hutchings Hyundai in Pontypridd), and Customer Care (Bristol Street Motors Hyundai, County Durham). Hyundai’s dealerships won awards in more categories than any other brand.

Motor Trader’s expert judging panel praised Franchised Dealership of the Year winner, Richmond Hyundai, for its pioneering ability to innovate and create fresh markets, and for its impressive commercial performance throughout 2013.

Meanwhile, Hutchings Hyundai impressed in the category of New Dealership of the Year, with its persistence, focus and creation of a loyal local customer base. Customer Care Award winner Bristol Street Motors Hyundai was highlighted for its determination to make every customer experience exceptional, and for adopting innovative practices pioneered outside of car retailing.

Hutchings Hyundai, recipient of the New Dealership of the Year award, opened in September 2012 and immediately won a strong local customer base. The family-owned company expanded its facility to include a new showroom at its Pontypridd site.

Customer Care Award winner Bristol Street Motors Hyundai won over the judging panel with its team’s determination to make every customer experience exceptional. This passionate approach to customer care has led to a 60% customer retention level, and CSI scores for sales and aftersales in excess of 97% for the past two years. This has placed the County Durham dealership third out of over 2,500 Hyundai dealerships across Europe in the brand’s 2013 Customer Satisfaction Excellence Awards.

Franchised Dealership of the Year Award, Richmond Hyundai Portsmouth, impressed with its commercial performance in 2013, but it was the business’s hunger to improve and a completely revised sales process that impressed the Motor Trader judges. The panel acknowledged Richmond Hyundai Portsmouth’s ability to innovate and create fresh markets, its sure-footed management and increasingly sophisticated operation at its modern site.
