DETROIT - May 20, 2014: Think the SUV is extinct? Far from it. Manufacturers are pouring their latest fuel efficiency and safety technologies into a category that used to be known for its beastly brawn. And just because they can seat nine people and haul three and a half tons doesn't mean they can't be beautiful AND loaded with technology.

A perfect example of the latest in the new breed of big, beautiful vehicles is the GMC Yukon and the Yukon Denali which, according to Mike Colias from Automotive News, "Denali has really found a niche in the market where people are willing to pay for something that's really not a flashy name, but it's almost like a cult following in a way."

The beast is now a beauty!
