ELKHART LAKE, Wis., May 1, 2014 - Many of today's modern racetracks have everything the average racing enthusiast is looking for including new concession choices, entertainment venues, new corporate suites and even active garage areas where fans can watch their favorite teams and drivers or grab an occasional autograph. What most racetracks don't typically offer, however, are dedicated buildings where active motorsports enthusiasts can pursue their dreams of driving and storing race vehicles, motorcycles and classic automobiles.

One of the world's most renowned circuits, Road America, plans to fill that void by being one of the few authentic racetracks to offer dedicated structures specifically designed by motorsports enthusiasts, for motorsports enthusiasts, who are looking for a truly unique way to fulfill their passion. The concept is appropriately called Thunder Village, and it will be nestled under the trees on the picturesque hillside overlooking Thunder Valley, which stretches between turn 12, affectionately known as Canada Corner, and turn 13.

Thunder Village structures range from 1,700 square feet to 2,600 square feet and they not only provide spacious customizable garage areas but can also be used for entertaining family, business associates and friends. These customizable units may have two levels and will stress quality materials, workmanship and design - including concrete garage door aprons, in-floor heat and viewing patios. In addition, convenient and secure 24/7 access is available for Thunder Village occupants to come and go at their leisure. Special track time is an option for an additional fee so every Thunder Village occupant may enjoy the fast and flowing 4-mile Road America circuit when the event schedule permits. Quite simply, every structure is more than just a storage facility it is a unique opportunity allowing for active enthusiasts to share their passion with family and friends.

"Every Thunder Village structure is part of a unique non-commercial, non-residential, long-term program where every Thunder Village occupant gets the chance to live their passion and enjoy their property as maintained by Road America standards," said George Bruggenthies, president and general manager of Road America. "Occupants may transfer their units, but why would you want to give up your own piece of motorsports heaven and all its amenities plus the chance to enjoy one of the world's greatest road racing circuits? The real question is, what will you do with your space?"

Thunder Village currently has 18 sites in the initial phase and Bruggenthies said he plans to break ground on the first units in mid-August.
