EyesOn Design 2014 Commemorative Poster to be Revealed at Automotive Hall of Fame
Media and Public Invited to Attend Tuesday, April 22
The commemorative poster for the 2014 EyesOn Design Automotive Design Exhibition will be unveiled at 10 a.m. on April 22 at the Automotive Hall of Fame in Dearborn, Michigan.
The poster, by artist Nicola Wood of Los Angeles, features a blue 1936 Cadillac coupe in front of a lagoon on the grounds of the Edsel & Eleanor Ford House in Grosse Pointe Shores, Michigan. This year's car show - the 27th annual - will be held on the mansion's grounds on Father's Day, June 15.
The classically trained Wood is a member of the Automotive Fine Arts Society (AFAS), who infuses her award-winning work with elements of pop culture. The pictured car, an aerodynamic coupe powered by a V16 engine, was designed by the legendary stylist Harley Earl.
Speaking about the car at the unveiling will be auto enthusiast Steve Pasteiner, a former assistant chief designer at General Motors, who established Advanced Automotive Technologies, a concept car and prototype component firm, and the Auto Zone, an auto enthusiast store in Birmingham, Michigan.
The public is invited to the event, where a limited number of the posters will be available.
The Automotive Hall of Fame is at 21400 Oakwood Blvd. in Dearborn, immediately north of the Henry Ford Museum. The Hall's phone number is (313) 240-4000.
The 2014 EyesOn Design week begins with a press preview at the Ford House on June 10 and concludes with the exhibition of more than 300 vehicles on Father's Day Sunday, June 15.
