TORRANCE, CA--March 11, 2014: Acura and ELS Studio Premium Audio from Panasonic are proud to present the Ben Folds 2014 LIVE Performances Tour. The multi-platinum singer-songwriter is scheduled to launch his new live tour in March featuring orchestra-backed performances plus select solo shows across the U.S.

The tour will be highlighted by a new Ben Folds piano concerto, as well as a series of his popular hits arranged for orchestral and solo performances, all presented by Acura and by ELS StudioŽ Premium Audio from Panasonic, a supplier of premium audio entertainment systems to Acura with engineering by multi-Grammy-award-winning producer and engineer, Elliot Scheiner. Acura's newest vehicle, the 2015 Acura TLX sports sedan, launching this spring, will feature an ELS Studio sound system.

"Being a singer-songwriter, audio purist and owner of a studio, I have always set the bar exceptionally high for sound, especially when it comes to live performances," said Folds. "Elliot Scheiner is one of the most phenomenal recording engineers in the history of recording music, and the ELS StudioŽ Premium Audio system that Elliot has developed together with Panasonic for Acura captures an incredible studio-quality audio experience that drivers can experience in-car. I am honored to have Acura and ELS Studio's strong support of my LIVE Performance Tours this year."

Folds served as the front man of the highly celebrated band Ben Folds Five before embarking on a successful solo career. A critically acclaimed celebrity judge on NBC's "The Sing Off," Folds has earned a reputation as a singular and influential voice in the world of popular music. In addition to numerous albums and a recent reunion tour with Ben Folds Five, Folds has recorded multiple studio albums as well as records documenting his renowned live performances. Folds serves on the Board of the Nashville Symphony and owns the famous RCA Studio A in Nashville, where legendary music from all genres, including Grammy-winning symphony albums, have been recorded.

"Acura is proud to sponsor Ben Folds LIVE Performances Tour," said Acura manager of advertising and brand, Gary Robinson. "Acura owners and Ben's fan base share an appreciation for the best when it comes to music, and they enjoy the blending of traditional virtues with purposeful innovation. The tour is the perfect opportunity to introduce our all-new 2015 Acura TLX sports sedan to a generation of customers craving a unique new way to experience performance."

The all-new TLX prototype, which was introduced at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit in January, will launch mid-year, and will offer a blend of luxury refinement and sports-sedan athleticism, with exhilarating performance enhanced by next-generation Acura powertrain and dynamic handling technologies.

Available on most Acura vehicles, acclaimed ELS StudioŽ1 Premium Audio Systems offers an in-vehicle system featuring in-studio surround sound. With music sources available over the air, internet or personal digital libraries, even the most familiar music can become an all-new listening experience.
