SYDNEY – Feb 20, 2014: Business opportunities for Cat On-Highway Trucks have been significantly enhanced with the appointment of one of Australia’s most experienced and successful fleet account executives.

From Monday, March 3, highly accomplished sales executive Jeffrey Magdziarz will take up the position of National Fleet Sales Manager, reporting directly to Cat Trucks Managing Director, Kevin Dennis.

The appointment of Mr Magdziarz comes at an important stage in the evolution of Cat Trucks.

“This is a highly strategic appointment for our business,” Kevin Dennis comments. “Jeffrey brings more than 30 continuous years of knowledge and experience to Cat Trucks, along with an excellent track record for forging long-term, successful relationships with Australia’s major fleets.

“His understanding of the specific needs of fleet customers is second to none and will be an absolute asset to Cat Trucks, particularly following recent developments in our product range.

“The timing could not be better,” he adds, citing the forthcoming launch of the new CT630S short-bonneted model for B-double duties as a critical addition to the Cat Trucks stable.

“It’s when a new model such as the CT630S is combined with the market’s increasing interest in trucks like our flagship CT630LS, and the CT610 with the exceptionally fuel efficient CT13 engine that someone with Jeffrey’s vast knowledge and industry contacts becomes especially valuable to a growing company such as ours.”

“There are many exciting developments happening and as these come to fruition, his proven abilities in sales as well as logistics and aftermarket services will become even more pronounced.”

After a long career with a prominent diesel engine supplier where for more than three decades he was instrumental in establishing the brand’s involvement with truck operators throughout Australia and the Pacific region, Jeffrey Magdziarz says the time is right for a fresh start.

“I’m truly excited about the prospects for this role with Cat Trucks,” he says. “However, the decision to join the company certainly wasn’t a spur of the moment event. Plenty of thought and discussion went into it but all the way through it was apparent that the future is extremely bright.

“I’ve worked with Kevin Dennis before and while my background and focus are in servicing fleet accounts, we share the same goals; to build the product name and make the most of every opportunity by establishing customer relationships that last.”

The Cat Trucks product range has plenty of appeal for fleets, with Jeffrey Magdziarz pointing to the CT13 engine’s growing reputation for fuel efficiency as just one example of the brand’s potential to win substantial fleet business.

“The possibilities are immense and my aim is to turn possibility into reality,” he concludes.
