Audi teams up with Vincent Fantauzzo at Wonderment Walk Victoria
MELBOURNE – Feb 7, 2014: Painter Vincent Fantauzzo’s latest art piece will be created on a canvas of a different kind, the all new Audi A3 Sedan. Vincent will be painting the car in a space cube in Federation Square as part of the Wonderment Walk Victoria from the 6 – 11 of February.
Vincent is an award-winning Australian painter who is known for his portrait work. His entries in the Archibald Portrait Prize have won him the People’s Choice award three times, with the most recent award being for his portrait of his partner, actor Asher Keddie.
The creation of the Audi art car will help celebrate the launch of the all new Audi A3 Sedan that went on sale at the end of January.
Audi Australia’s Managing Director, Andrew Doyle, said that the company is excited to be a part of a creative event that is strongly linked to the company’s arts sponsorships.
“The concept of open air art in Melbourne is a great one. Audi is a long time supporter of the arts in Melbourne, and we’re keen to see this concept embraced as part of the Wonderment Walk exhibition. Vincent’s creativity and his arresting style will make for an interesting ‚car as a canvas‘ art piece – we’re looking forward to the result,” Mr Doyle said.
Audi will be offering visitors the chance to win an interactive art experience of their own, with a trip for two to the Museum of Old and New Art (MONA) in Hobart, Tasmania. The trip includes two nights’ accommodation at the architecturally-inspiring MONA pavilions, private tour passes around MONA and the Moorilla Estate winery, dinner for two at The Source restaurant and a two-day loan of the brand-new Audi A3 Sedan.
