TORRANCE, CA--Feb. 6, 2014: The EPA-rated 50 mpg1 city Accord Hybrid (Honda Accord Hybrid) won a 2014 MotorWeek Drivers' Choice Award for Best Eco-Friendly vehicle. The award honors the 2014 Accord Hybrid for its class-leading combination of value, reliability and innovation.

Built at the Honda manufacturing facility in Marysville, Ohio2 alongside the gasoline-powered Accord, the model features a new two-motor hybrid system that seamlessly blends electric-only, hybrid and engine drive modes along with powerful regenerative braking to provide responsive and efficient performance in a wide range of driving situations. The Accord Hybrid also earned the highest safety ratings from both the IIHS and NHTSA and is equipped with a host of standard features including a rearview camera, Bluetooth® connectivity and the Honda-exclusive LaneWatch™ display.

"For the Accord Hybrid our priority was not only to achieve outstanding fuel-efficiency but also make it fun-to-drive." said Michael Accavitti, senior vice president of auto operations for American Honda. "Being named a Driver's Choice is proof that buying a hybrid doesn't mean you have to give up the joy of driving."
