Infiniti Sets New Standards In St Albans
LONDON – Jan 27, 2014: The UK’s latest state-of-the-art Infiniti Centre in St Albans has been declared open by the city’s mayor.
The Rt Worshipful Councillor Annie Brewster performed the honours at a glamorous event held at the Lyon Way outlet and attended by more than 100 invited guests.
She then took the opportunity to view the Infiniti Red Bull racing car, as driven by Formula One champion Sebastian Vettel, which will remain on display at the outlet located on Lyon Way, just off Hatfield Road, until Sunday evening.
Councillor Brewster also spent time viewing the stunning Q50 – Infiniti’s new premium sports saloon, which was also launched on the night, and the incredible Infiniti FX Vettel – a special limited edition version of the brand’s QX70 luxury SUV developed by the F1 champion in his role as Infiniti’s Director of Performance.
A charity raffle in aid of the mayor’s chosen charity, the Living Room addiction centre, raised more than £400 and was boosted to £1,500 by a donation from Glyn Hopkin, the dealer group that runs Infiniti Centre St Albans.
Fraser Cohen, Managing Director of Glyn Hopkin, said: “This is a very important night for Glyn Hopkin and we are absolutely delighted to be adding a premium brand of Infiniti’s stature to our portfolio.
“It’s a brand which is going places, with lots of exciting product on the way, and I’m sure the people of St Albans and Hertfordshire will love the performance of the models and the quality of the service we’re able to offer.
“Both performance and real high-end customer service are at heart of the Infiniti ethos.”
Steve Oliver, Infiniti’s director for northern Europe, added: “Infiniti is a brand still in its infancy in the UK and in Europe but in the United States, our primary market, we have been established for twenty five years.”
“But with our youthfulness comes excitement and you can see that clearly in some of the things we’re involved in such as the Infiniti Red Bull Racing team and halo model’s like the Infiniti FX Vettel.”
The Infiniti Red Bull racing car and Infiniti FX Vettel will both be available to view by members of the public until Sunday evening.
