LONDON – Jan 16, 2014: Hyundai’s comeback into the FIA World Rally Championship will be screened live on BT Sport in 2014. The channel, which recently won exclusive rights to screen the UEFA Champions League football from 2015, will broadcast all 13 rounds of the 2014 WRC season starting with Rallye Monte Carlo, which begins today with shakedown testing.

The BT Sport WRC programming will run across the broadcaster’s three main channels: BT Sport 1, BT Sport 2 and ESPN and includes a race preview, a review show and a daily highlights package during race weekends.

The Hyundai Shell World Rally Team will begin its challenge today at the first rally of the season - the prestigious Rallye Monte-Carlo - with an exciting driver line-up including Thierry Neuville and Dani Sordo. The legendary Rallye Monte-Carlo covers all terrains from ice and snow to tarmac and gravel and is one of the most gruelling events on the calendar.

Tony Whitehorn, President and CEO, Hyundai Motor UK, said: “This is fantastic news for the legions of WRC fans in the UK. The FIA World Rally Championship is one of the most testing forms of motorsport and every race weekend always serves up plenty of excitement and entertainment. Hyundai’s fans will be able to watch every second of the brand’s exciting comeback into the Championship.”
