AUBURN HILLS, MI--Jan. 15, 2014: Reaching a milestone, Continental, a leading international automotive supplier, is observing its 20th consecutive year of contributions of powertrain technologies to winners of Ward's 10 Best Engines competition.

For the 2014 awards, Continental has contributed to nine engines that have set the benchmark in power, torque, technology, observed fuel economy, relative competitiveness and noise, vibration and harshness characteristics. This selective group of engines is determined by eight editors of WardsAuto magazine after evaluating 44 new or significantly upgraded engines in their routine daily commutes around metro Detroit.

"The 20th consecutive year of wins in Ward's 10 Best Engines is a testament to Continental's ongoing efforts to work closely with our customers to develop innovative Powertrain technology that is safe, powerful, environmentally friendly and, of course, affordable," said Kregg Wiggins, senior vice president, powertrain, North America. "Congratulations to our customers who made the list this year; we look forward to many more being recognized in the years to come."
