FARMINGTON HILLS, MI--Dec. 3, 2013 Autoline announces the inaugural of its "Autoline Executive of the Year" award, recognizing the outstanding leadership performance of a single senior executive, chosen by a panel of automotive experts.

Those experts spent months analyzing and debating the merits and challenges of nearly a dozen senior executives chosen from a list of the world's major automakers. Autoline will announce their choice for the recipient of this year's inaugural award in late December, 2013.

The panel of automotive experts includes former Wall Street analyst Maryann Keller, managing partner of Maryann Keller & Associates; Dr. David Cole, founder of the Center for Automotive Research; Neil de Koker, founder and former president & CEO of the Original Equipment Suppliers Association; Edward Lapham, former Managing Editor of Automotive News; Karl Ludvigsen, author, consultant and former automotive executive; and John McElroy, president of Blue Sky Productions, the company which produces the Autoline programs including, "Autoline This Week," "Autoline Daily," and "Autoline After Hours."

An "Autoline This Week" program involving those experts discussing the list of potential candidates and their final choice will be broadcast on PBS stations across The United States and Canada beginning on Friday, December 27th.

"This is quite the panel of experts," said John McElroy, Editorial Director of the Autoline programs. "They are knowledgeable, insightful, well connected, and experienced. I can't think of a better group to determine which automotive executive truly stands out from the rest this year. They're the gold standard."
