SOUTH WINDSOR, CT--Nov. 13, 2013: Pace Charging has installed its inaugural electric vehicle charging station at Best Market's Newington Connecticut store, located at 175 Lowrey Place Newington CT. The installation and unveiling coincided with the Best Market grand opening celebration.

The electric vehicle charging station is a ChargePoint CT 4000 dual port level II unit providing the ability to charge two electric or hybrid electric vehicles simultaneously at 7.2 kW (208/240 VAC @ 30 A) output each via the standard SAE J1772™ connector. Level II charging is the backbone of the still nascent EV charging network providing quick top ups to the cars battery during day to day driving and daily commutes.

The electric vehicle charging network has been rapidly growing in recent years, especially on the West Coast and in more populous urban centers, however, smaller communities are woefully underserved. Pace Charging's mission is to provide facilities in the rural and suburban communities of Greater New England, in particular the regularly trafficked commuter corridors between New York, Long Island, the Hudson Valley, Connecticut and Massachusetts. The Company plans to have up to 150 units installed by the end of 2014.
