Skoda Yeti Honoured At Green Apple Awards For Third Year In A Row

MILTON KEYNES, UNITED KINGDOM – Nov 12, 2013: The ŠKODA Yeti has received a trophy at the 2013 Green Apple Awards for the third consecutive year. The crossover won Silver in the ‘Smaller SUV & 4x4’ category at the annual ceremony which took place today at the House of Commons in London. The prestigious event is run by the Green Organisation, an independent non-profit body which rewards environmental best practice.

Since the award was launched by the Midland Group of Motoring Writers, Yeti has won every year - Gold in 2011, Silver in 2012 and again in 2013. An impressive combined fuel economy of 61.4 mpg and low emissions of just 119 g/km CO2 secured Silver in 2013 for the ŠKODA Yeti 1.6 TDI CR 105PS DPF Elegance GreenLine II model.

The jury said: “The ŠKODA Yeti, one of the greenest vehicles in its class, has always stood out from the competition, hence it has been rewarded on every occasion since the beginning of the ‘Smaller SUV & 4x4’ category three years ago.
