TravelCenters of America Honors Veterans Who Are Also Truck Drivers with Free Meals on Veterans Day

WESTLAKE, OH--October 21, 2013: TravelCenters of America LLC (TravelCenters), operator of TA and Petro Stopping Centers® branded travel centers, invites all truck drivers who are also veterans of the United States armed services to enjoy a complimentary meal on Veterans Day, Monday, Nov. 11, 2013, at any participating TA and Petro sit-down restaurant across the U.S. TA and Petro will be honoring the service and sacrifice of the men and women who have valiantly fought for our country. Veterans Day meals can be enjoyed at more than 170 participating Iron Skillet, Country Pride and other full-service, home-style restaurants within TA and Petro Stopping Centers.

“Professional drivers who are veterans have spent their life sacrificing personal and family time both in the armed forces and every day on the road,” said Tom O’Brien, President and CEO of TravelCenters. “We want to take this opportunity to recognize them for these sacrifices and the contributions they have made to our country while in the service, and to each of us by moving all of the products we use and need,” he added.

On November 11, anyone who is a veteran of the armed forces and holds a CDL can receive a complimentary meal of their choice (up to a $15 value) by simply showing proof of service to their server prior to ordering their meal. Proof of service includes: U.S. Uniform Services Retired ID Card; Veterans Organization Card; Photograph in uniform; DD214; or Citation or Commendation.
