ORLANDO, FL--Oct. 21, 2013: Today, American Trucking Associations thanked the sponsors of its image and outreach programs: Share the Road, America's Road Team and Interstate One, the federation's image show truck.

"We at ATA are immensely grateful for the support our programs receive from our allied community," said ATA President and CEO Bill Graves. "Without them, it would be impossible to do the work that we do every day to represent the trucking industry."

America's Road Team, a national public outreach program led by a small group of professional truck drivers who share superior driving skills, remarkable safety records and a strong desire to spread the word about safety on the highway, is sponsored by Volvo Trucks.

Through Share the Road, sponsored by Mack Trucks and Michelin North America and supported by TravelCenters of America, ATA has been educating the public how to travel safely with large trucks since 1986.

Interstate One is ATA's image truck, travelling across the country visiting state capitals, schools and other community events, to deliver a message of safety, sustainability and essentiality. Interstate One is supported by TravelCenters of America, Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems and XRS Corp.

"These programs are tremendously important to the work we do at ATA and we appreciate the extraordinary efforts these companies have taken to support them," said ATA Chairman Mike Card, president of Combined Transport, Central Point, Ore.
