Shannons Club TV - A New Standard in Motoring Television
SYDNEY – Oct 7, 2013: Since Peter Wherrett’s ABC program ‘Torque’ back in 1973, there has been a lack of good quality motoring programmes on television that really appeal to motoring enthusiasts. The major television networks don’t have an appreciation of the numbers of motoring enthusiasts across Australia who really crave quality programmes that reflects their passion, because they believe they won’t deliver big enough audiences. So enthusiasts are forced to watch late night or off-peak programs on networks or Pay TV shows that are not freely available to everyone.
Now Shannons Club TV is here!
Shannons has always been
innovative in creating motoring content that engages enthusiasts, such as
Shannons Supercar Showdown, now in it’s 3rd Season on 7mate. Another
example is the launch of their online motoring enthusiast community, the
Shannons Club, which attracts over 80,000 unique visitors per month.
Recently Shannons commissioned a series of road and racing articles for the Shannons Club by leading motoring journalists Joe Kenwright and Mark Oastler.
Now Shannons have taken this exclusive motoring content and gone one better by creating Shannons Club TV, that can be viewed on the Shannons Club website under the video section.
Each episode of Shannons Club TV covers an in depth retrospective of a vehicle with rich road and racing history. The first two episodes feature the Mini Cooper S and the Valiant Pacer, however, cars from most manufacturers with road and race history in Australia during the 1950’s - 1990’s will be featured.
The show covers detailed road and race histories, owner profiles and a market reviews by Shannons National Auctions Manager, Chris Boribon.
Shannons Club TV is a refreshing change in format with real motoring content for the enthusiast that is sure to attract an army of followers.
