SYDNEY – Sept 18, 2013: Mitsubishi Motors Australia Limited (MMAL) recently completed the first part of the 2013 Sales Academy Program, offering a unique experience for all Mitsubishi salespeople to develop and acquire nationally recognised skills.

MMAL is passionate about investing in its dealership salespeople, now and for the future of the brand. From July to December, over 230 salespeople across the eastern seaboard will attend this unique training program. The program has been specifically designed for dealership sales staff to develop superior product knowledge along with exceptional sales skills strategies through a range of comprehensive and consultative workshops.

MMAL’s National Sales Trainer, Dave Benson, said the academy training program is a fantastic opportunity for dealership sales staff.

“The Mitsubishi Sales Academy is about seeing salespeople succeed both personally and professionally, by giving them the best-practice tools to enable them to provide a greater overall level of service to our customers,” Benson said.

The Mitsubishi Sales Academy begins with the pilot program consisting of a one-day workshop. Starting with an intense product-driven induction and extensive drive program, and ending with a hands-on comprehensive sales training session. The main focus of the training is the drive program, designed to give each salesperson the opportunity to experience the entire product range and to help them understand the full capabilities and on-road and off- road performance of each and every Mitsubishi model.

Sales Managers and Fleet and Retail Sales staff will then attend monthly on-going consultative workshops, providing them with the necessary updated product knowledge and sales skills, which can then be passed straight onto the consumer.

“In such a competitive automotive industry consumers are looking for a point of difference and great customer service. The Mitsubishi Sales Academy aims to develop each and every sales person by providing the tools to be able to offer a greater level of overall customer service and be the point of difference consumers are looking for,”Benson said.

The Mitsubishi Sales Academy Training Program aims to motivate, educate and inspire sales people to excel in their current roles, which in-turn reward Mitsubishi customers with advanced customer service and product knowledge at the highest level.

"The academy training makes you think about what you are doing, and need to do to improve your skills to provide a better service to customers.” Gary Claus -Sales Manager, Nundah Mitsubishi QLD.

Plans for the 2014 MMAL Academy Training Program are already underway, aiming to extend the areas of training to Service, Finance and Management streams. Mitsubishi Motors is passionate about investing in the careers of its highly regarded dealership staff, ensuring all current and future salespeople are given the opportunity to continue to grow and develop outstanding skills in their professional fields.
