MONTVALE, NJ--Sept. 5, 2013: Lincoln Center is abuzz with the start of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week (#MBFW) as it gets underway from September 5-12, 2013, with a line-up of over 100 designers showing their spring 2014 Collections. Among the world's most renowned designers, Mercedes-Benz is showing an icon of its own - the all-new 2014 S-Class. A benchmark of automotive generations, the S-Class possesses a rare combination of style, luxury and engineering which sets new standards for others to follow.

The S-Class is the main attraction within The House of Mercedes-Benz fashion boutique in the main lobby of Lincoln Center. Here, the worlds of fashion and automotive design merge as the vehicle's attributes come to life in a unique retail environment providing guests with a complete sensory experience. Claire Distenfeld, owner of famed fashion boutique Fivestory and curator of the fashion looks displayed within The House of Mercedes-Benz, explains "As a boutique owner myself, I realize the importance of creating an environment that touches each of the customer's five senses. The House of Mercedes-Benz depicts the amazing characteristics of the all-new S-Class in a unique way which appeals to a fashion-minded audience."

To highlight the first of the five senses and the vehicle's remarkable stereo camera, giving the car "sight" like never before, Mercedes-Benz and Oregon-based wooden eyewear company Shwood have joined forces to create an exclusive Shwood for Mercedes-Benz Sunglass Collection. The limited-edition collection will be on display in The House of Mercedes-Benz boutique and is inspired by the illustrious wood accompaniments featured in the 2014 Mercedes-Benz S-Class. The collection will also be on sale for a limited-time only on House of Mercedes-Benz.

Guests of the boutique will also experience the vehicle's new AIR-BALANCE system which perfumes the interior cabin with any scent of the driver's choosing, from a true classic to the hottest scent of the season. Tired fashion goers are invited to take a time out to relax in the vehicle's ENERGIZING hot stone massaging seats that allow the occupants to feel the epitome of comfort. All of this coupled with the vehicle's unique Frontbass sound system, which embodies attributes of a concert hall, are examples of how the Mercedes-Benz S-Class is the epitome of luxury for every sense.

Upon entry, visitors will get the chance to experience a taste of luxury for themselves by obtaining The House of Mercedes-Benz boutique card onsite. These cards grant access into a unique social media contest for a chance to win a pair of exclusive Shwood for Mercedes-Benz sunglasses. Participants of the contest are asked to capture their interpretation of the essence of luxury at #MBFW via Instagram and Twitter. A select number of participants will be chosen daily. To find out more about the contest visit: MBFW Rules

The boutique will host an official invite-only opening party with supermodel Sui He and fashion icons Carine Roitfeld and Stephen Gan, visionaries behind the 2014 Mercedes-Benz fashion key visual.
