Great Wall To Pull In The Crowds At The Lowther Show
LONDON – Aug 8, 2013: Visitors to Britain’s agriculture event, the all-new Lowther Show in Penrith, Cumbria, will have the chance to take a closer look at Great Wall’s latest range of high-specification, high-value pick-ups.
As an established sponsor of the award-winning Countryman Fairs, Great Wall is a key sponsor of the re-branded and re-named Lowther event. Five Great Wall dealerships from around the country – Bryan Hoggarth Ltd, Dow Storey, Great Wall Newcastle, Lloyd and Suttons Garage Car Sales – will be displaying a range of Steed vehicles and there will be a hospitality area for priority customers and prospects.
Near to Great Wall’s stand will be a dedicated off-road track, where a team of highly experienced drivers will be on had to offer passenger rides that will demonstrate the Steed’s ‘on demand’ four-wheel drive system and low-range gearbox.
Hosted in the beautiful grounds of Lowther Estate, this year’s show promises a full line-up of the world’s most prestigious sporting championships including the semi-finals of the all-new Great Wall Motor World Series Clay Shooting and Great Wall Motor World Series Gundog Championships.
Included in the display will be the new Steed Chrome and Steed Tracker. Both variants build on the impressive array of equipment offered as standard with the entry-level Steed S and retain that vehicle’s purchase price of £14,998 (CVOTR).
The Steed Chrome has been designed to excel as a working vehicle and with a host of interior and exterior styling upgrades it boasts real visual impact, too. Featuring a 2.5-tonne towing capacity and a payload of 1,050 kg, it also has a number of unique chrome add-ons, tinted glass, metallic paint and carpet floor mats.
The more rugged Steed Tracker is a dedicated workhorse, with additional features including special fit General Grabber All-Terrain tyres, an over-rail bedliner, a towbar with audible reversing monitor, front and rear mud flaps, metallic paint and rubber floor mats.
All Great Wall’s vehicles benefit from the ‘Great Wall Promise’, which includes an industry-leading six-year / 125,000 mile warranty, inflation-proof servicing plans, free pick-up and drop-off, a six-year anti-perforation warranty, three-year paint warranty and roadside assistance.
In addition to the Great Wall-sponsored activities at the Lowther Show there will be a host of popular events, such as the Horse Carriage Driving Trials and the Lowther Hound Show. Elsewhere in the showground visitors can browse over 250 exhibition stands, various crafts and antiques fairs, and a superb Food Festival offering home-grown foodstuffs and produce.
With an array of family-inspired activities, such as falconry and wildlife displays, junior archery and crossbow, and top class jousting and equestrian demonstrations from the Knights of Middle England, the Lowther Show caters for all interests and ages.
