MORE INFO

DENVER--July 31, 2013: Inventor and Industrial Designer David Nutting didn't achieve his success accidently; he persevered, and along the way he studied the intricate workings of his own mind. Like a scientist in a lab, but with a dash of creativity, he deconstructed the problem until he was left with the essential components. That led to his greatest breakthrough of all—the drawing back of the curtain on the previously hidden world of human creativity and genius. His new award-winning book of the year, "Secrets to a Creative Mind – Become the Master of Your Mind," takes the reader along on the journey, revealing proven techniques that anyone can use to become master of his or her own mind. Learn more about the book here: Secrets to a Creative Mind .

In the not-too-distant past, neuroscientists sought their own Holy Grail: an empirical explanation for the phenomenon of genius. Albert Einstein's grey matter was believed to hold the key. Was his brain heavier? Was it structured differently than a normal brain? Surely, there would be physical markers. Like ace detectives, a team of neuroscientists were allowed to examine the brain, and what they discovered was shocking: Einstein's brain was completely ordinary in every way. That could mean only one thing, namely that the key to genius and creativity did not lie in the brain's physical arrangement.

"No one is born a genius, but everyone has genius inside of them," explains Nutting. "The brain has powers that most of us are only dimly aware of. For instance, it's possible to tune out all five senses and enter a state where the only things that exist are thoughts and ideas. True creativity is born in this space. You can teach and train your own mind to achieve your personal goals in life. Become the master of your mind.

"Secrets to a Creative Mind" takes readers to unexpected places, but the theme remains constant throughout. Whether discussing the earth-shaking implications of Quantum Theory or the power of rap as a memory device, Nutting's lessons are all designed to reveal the true power of the mind. This is no vague journey into metaphysics, but rather a series of actionable, measurable steps that will unlock everyone's hidden potential.

Nutting continues: "My new book is a synthesis of more than 60 years of mental exercise. As an Industrial Designer and Inventor, my work involved seeing connections where no one else saw them and seizing opportunities where everyone else only saw roadblocks. My curiosity of course got the better of me, and I dedicated myself to finding out the how and why of my own brain's seemingly magical powers."

Nutting has made an enviable living turning his creative energy toward products and ideas that make life easier for all of us. Now, his attention has turned inward, to the life of the mind. His greatest wish is that readers will take his lessons to heart, maximizing their own potential and experiencing a mental, spiritual awakening.

Designer, engineer, inventor, entrepreneur and author David Nutting has been responsible for some of the most innovated technologies of the last half-century.
