Audi sponsors Opening Night at Melbourne International Film Festival

MELBOURNE - July 25, 2013:The 62nd Melbourne International Film Festival celebrates its official Opening Night tonight with Audi reprising its role as presenting partner.

The brand with the four rings will also be providing a live stream to Melbourne’s iconic Federation Square big screen with actor and director Alyssa McClelland reporting live from the black tie red carpet.

Audi will be joined by a number of well-known entertainment and industry guests including Festival Patron Geoffrey Rush and filmmakers whose films will show during MIFF including Robert Connolly (The Turning), Tony Ayres (The Turning, Nowhere Boys), Rhys Graham (The Turning, Galore), Jonathan auf der Heide, Zak Hilditch (These Final Hours), Ivan Sen (Mystery Road), Mark Hartley (Patrick), Richard Lowenstein, Lynn-Maree Milburn and Lawrence Johnston.

Also walking the red carpet, will be Australian film and entertainment industry guests; Sacha Horler, Diana Glenn, Greg Mclean, Anthony Hayes, Aaron Pedersen, Fred Schepisi, John Safran, Father Bob, Shane Jacobson, Asher Keddie, Damian Walshe-Howling, Damon Herriman, Essie Davis, Adam Zwar, Peta Sergeant, Carla Bonner, Damien Bodie, Melanie Vallejo, Katherine Hicks, Thomas Hobbs, Zoe Tuckwell-Smith, Damon Gameau, Blair McDonough, Francis Greenslade and Sybilla Budd.

This is Audi’s second year as major sponsor presenting Opening Night of the high profile cultural event.

Over 300 films make up the 62nd Melbourne International Film Festival program, the largest and oldest film festival in Australia. Melbourne International Film Festival runs 25 July - 11 August 2013.
